Rememberance of Things Fast
Larry Crane, Pete Lyons, Mark Takahashi

AUTO Aficionado is a new automobile magazine billed as "The Journal for Fine Automobile Collectors and Enthusiasts." It is a classy magazine, with stories and photos of cars we all enjoy reading about and would love to own. I just subscribed and asked them to begin my subscription with the first issue. They were happy to oblige.

The third edition features a comparative article on the new Ford GT and the Superformance Coupe.

"Two cars, each capable of over 200 mph and very similar in all their performance specs, but coming to those numbers apparently from very different planets; just like in 1965."

In a conversation with Larry Crane, he stated that, "Driving both of those cars was one of the best days of my car filled life." High praise for a man with a long history in the business.

Featured is Lance Stander's Coupe 008 with the 500 horsepower Roush 402 and the Tremec T-56 6-speed. Lance's Coupe is Dark Metallic Silver and it is stunning.

The following article, "Ford vs. Ford" is a comparative article on the original Ford GT40 and the original Daytona Coupe. Nice contrast. It is nice to remember that when they went head to head, the Coupe won more often than not.

The issue also has a full page ad designed by Larry Crane, editor/designer for the magazine, and featuring Lance's Coupe. Best Superformance ad I have ever seen. Striking.
