As has been reported in the Second Strike newsletter, Peter's engine is an RDI built 427 cubic inch Windsor based on the Ford Racing aluminum Z-block. The engine is fitted with Edelbrock Victor Jr. heads, a Victor Jr. single plane intake, and an 830 cfm Holley HP double pumper. Peter added a custom Burns Stainless exhaust system with side exit. This car rocks! Comparison to the new Corvette ZO6 and Dodge Viper also in the Annual show how much it rocks.
The posted performance is excellent. However it should be noted that the test was done under less than ideal conditions - 94 degrees, 74% humidity, 350 ft altitude with strong winds. At standard test conditions, the quarter mile would be more like 11.5 @ 128 mph. The 204 mph top speed was recorded by Prototype Three at the factory with the Roush 402RC engine. Brock's RDI 427 has an additional 80 horsepower and a top speed of 210 mph. The Road & Track Sports & GT Car 2006 Annual is on sale until March, but it you want a copy, get it now.
