Fall Leaf Road Trip 2004 Saturday October 9, 2004 The Fall Leaf Road Trip is an informal get together and road trip through the mountains of North Carolina and Virginia. 8:30 AM: Meet at Cracker Barrel at the intersection of NC-150 and I-77 (exit 36). We will have breakfast together and roll out about 9:30 AM and head north on I-77. Between 10:00 and 10:30 AM: We will roll through the Cracker Barrel in Jonesville (exit 82 off I-77) and hook up with anyone who want to join us. We don't plan to stop, so be there early, by 10:00 AM. We will then continue north on I-77. Once in southern Virginia, we will take the Blue Ridge Parkway (exit 8) and head north. Around lunch time, we will find a picnic area and stop for lunch. After lunch, we will find a nice back road to Mt Airy, NC, for "Autumn Leaf Day. Then head home. Note: Be sure to pack a picnic lunch and bring water or suitable beverages. If you forget, you can pick something up at Cracker Barrel. James Foreman (SP 1654) is organizing the tour.
