Fall Leaf Road Trip 2004
Saturday October 9, 2004
The Fall Leaf Road Trip is an informal get together and road trip through the mountains of North Carolina and Virginia.
8:30 AM: Meet at Cracker Barrel at the intersection of NC-150 and I-77 (exit 36). We will have breakfast together and roll out about 9:30 AM and head north on I-77.
Between 10:00 and 10:30 AM: We will roll through the Cracker Barrel in Jonesville (exit 82 off I-77) and hook up with anyone who want to join us. We don't plan to stop, so be there early, by 10:00 AM. We will then continue north on I-77.
Once in southern Virginia, we will take the Blue Ridge Parkway (exit 8) and head north. Around lunch time, we will find a picnic area and stop for lunch.
After lunch, we will find a nice back road to Mt Airy, NC, for "Autumn Leaf Day. Then head home.
Note: Be sure to pack a picnic lunch and bring water or suitable beverages. If you forget, you can pick something up at Cracker Barrel.
James Foreman (SP 1654) is organizing the tour. If you have any questions, contact him.
