SAAC 31 Hotel Accomodations |

EVERY TASTE AND EVERY WALLET The way conventions usually work is that we find three or four of the best hotels as close to the track as possible and designate the largest one the "Headquarters Hotel." All of them are very close to each other in price, so the HQ Hotel gets all the reservations and fills up first. Once they are full they pass the baton to hotel #2. When that hotel is filled they send everyone to hotel #3. SAAC-31 will be a little different. There is a fairly large number of hotels, in a variety of price ranges. All hotels on this list: •are a half hour (or less) from the track •will have overnight security unless noted •require one night's deposit refundable up to 30 days prior to the event •when making reservations, be sure to identify yourself as part of the Shelby Group to get our discounted group rate •please note: there are several different levels of luxury among most of these hotels and they are priced accordingly.

(ALREADY FULL) Probably the ultimate in accommodations are provided by VIR, itself. The Lodge is a 27-room trackside hotel consisting of three floors, each with a wide balcony overlooking the track. Every room has a Jacuzzi tub, 32" flat screen TV, DVD/VCR player, refrigerator and bath amenities. Because only 10 of these rooms are available we've put together a package which includes convention registration for two, two Saturday evening dinner tickets, two convention t-shirts and choice of Saturday and Sunday open track (all sessions) or vintage race entry. Rooms are for 3 nights: Thursday, Friday & Saturday or Friday, Saturday & Sunday...................................$1,150 (additional day: $250) |
DREAM GARAGES
(ALREADY FULL) VIR is in the process of building 18 paddock garages which will be completed prior to SAAC-31. Above each garage is a suite with two beds and a bathroom/shower. This set-up is pretty much the ultimate in trackside accommodations and included at no extra cost is an 8 am unmuffled 289 wake-up call. The garage package includes 3-day convention registration for two, two Saturday evening dinner tickets, two convention t-shirts and choice of Saturday and Sunday open track (all sessions) or vintage race entry. There are presen tly 7 available. The garage/suites are for Thursday, Friday & Saturday or Friday, Saturday & Sunday. .................$1500 (additional day: $250) |
